In An Emergency, Which Guitars To Take?

The San Diego wildfire crisis is affecting the LBoP world. My main squeeze and I are on edge today waiting for the word to evacuate the house. The so-called Witch Creek fire is a few miles away threatening our little burg of Encinitas.

So...decisions, decisions: which guitars to take; which to leave behind? The car can only hold so much so some hard choices had to be made. I chose two of my solid-body electrics, my workhorse Fender Strat and Gibson Nighthawk. The MIJ Epi/Gibson 335, Taylor acoustics (810 and Baby) and all the electric basses made the cut as well. Rounding out the music gear that got packed: a few select small guitar amps and stompboxes. A lot of other instruments and gear will have to be left behind. Aarrgh!

Yes, I was terribly inconvenienced, but the alternative is worse. The goal is to live another day to make some music. That's the bottom line.
